Fluorescent Pigment Acrylic Resin-Based Fluorescent Beads SX Series
This product is made by solidifying fluorescent dyes within acrylic resin particles using our unique technology.
Organic fluorescent pigments have traditionally been made by dissolving fluorescent dyes in condensation-type resins such as amino resins or polyester resins and then finely grinding the resulting solid. However, our company has newly established a technology to dissolve fluorescent dyes in acrylic resin particles using a wet process. This new method exhibits color development properties equivalent to those of conventional amino resin-based organic fluorescent pigments, but unlike amino resins, it does not use formaldehyde as a raw material. Additionally, because it is synthesized through an addition polymerization reaction in water, the particles are spherical and have a sharp particle size distribution. SX-100 has an average particle size of 3 to 5 μm and can be widely used in various applications such as paints, printing inks, paper coatings, and resin coloring (limited to below 200°C). SX-1000 has a finer particle size (average particle size below 1 μm) and can be expanded to applications such as offset inks and UV inks in addition to conventional uses.
